The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua, where the final two episodes of this year's Bachelor Australia, has special deals for couples – chocolate bath and all.
Watching last week's finale of The Bachelor Australia, set in the tropical surrounds of Bali, might just have you in the mood for a romantic break – or perhaps a holiday to recover from the surprise result, which saw Richie Strahan choose Alex Nation over WA's Nikki Gogan.
With that in mind, the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua – where the finale two episodes of the series were filmed – is offering special accommodation packages for couples.
One option is the Romantic Rendezvous package, for a minimum stay of four nights in a luxury suite or private pool villa. It includes breakfast in bed, dinner for two at the Sofitel's Kwee Zeen restaurant and a romantic dinner by the beach with a bottle of sparkling wine. You'll also get access to the Club Millesime lounge, a couple's massage in one of So Spa gazebos, airport transfers and – in a nod to Richie and Alex's now-infamous on-screen date – a chocolate bath for two in your room. It costs from 4,100,000 rupiah per night (approximately $415)
Or, stay in a luxury room overlooking the ocean for a minimum of four nights with all of the above inclusions, from 3,200,000 per night (about $325).
Sylvain Pasdeloup, general manager of the resort, said the logistics of hosting The Bachelor Australia group meant it was "a huge task".
"Filming took place for the episode 15 rose ceremony in the Presidential Villa, right on the beachfront, where the pool, garden, and outside deck area were festooned with candles hanging in trees, flower arrangements floating in the pool and the most romantic setting we have ever seen set up at the resort," he said.
"Our staff loved looking after all the crew, with their quirky requests, quickly changing schedules, paparazzi dodging, secrecy and privacy required to ensure there were no spoilers before screening."
The resort has a wedding chapel, The Jewel Box, on the beach for couples wishing to tie the knot, renew their vows or propose, along with private pool villas and honeymoon suites for newlyweds.
The special packages are valid for bookings to December 31 and for stays until March 31. Email email@example.com or go to sofitel-bali-nusadua.com.
