Heading to Sydney this winter? Get your creative juices flowing with a new interactive art experience at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art.
Staged in partnership with the MCA's official champagne sponsor Ruinart, the two-hour Ruinart Sundown Sketch Deluxe workshops will be lead by Sydney artist Will French.
It'll take place in the MCA's creative studios, with picturesque views of Sydney Harbour.
Participants will be able to experiment with still life and nude drawing, responding to an ever-changing installation combining a model, white flowers, fruits and nuts – the items a nod to the flavours of the R de Ruinart champagne.
Beginners are welcome, and to help the artistic process along, participants will enjoy a glass of the champagne, along with nibbles and cheese.
The Ruinart Sundown Sketch Deluxe sessions are inspired by the MCA's popular night-time program, the Sundown Sketch Club, which allow participants to fine-tune their drawing skills by focusing on particular subjects, from dogs to the moving body to unlikely objects such as taxidermy animals and decaying fruit.
- The workshops are on June 14, July 19 and August 23 from 6-8pm.
- Tickets are $65, or $52 for MCA members and concessions. Early bookings are recommended. Book at mca.com.au.
