The luxury cruise line has teamed up with the famed musical theatre lyricist to create a new show at sea.
Guests aboard Seabourn's newest ship, Seabourn Encore, can expect to find themselves humming along to hits such as Hakuna Matata from The Lion King and Don't Cry for Me Argentina from Evita next year.
The luxury cruise line has teamed up with famed musical theatre lyricist Tim Rice to create An Evening with Tim Rice, a concert-style show that's exclusive to Seabourn and which will debut aboard Encore.
Australians will be among the first to see it, with the ship set to cruise in Australian waters from January to March. The production will then roll out across the rest of the Seabourn fleet
Rice's much-loved work for Broadway, the West End and film includes Jesus Christ Superstar, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Evita and Chess.
An Evening with Tim Rice will be narrated by Rice and will feature a cast of singers and musicians performing some of his best-known work. It'll be enhanced by photos from his private collection, and Rice will make some personal appearances on every Seabourn ship during the show's run.
"I've been lucky that my work has been shown around the world, so I love the idea of this production circumnavigating the globe on the high seas on Seabourn's beautiful ships," Rice said.
