Twice named Australia’s Best Travel Writer, the recipient of a United Nations Media Award, he’s also an award winning novelist, and acclaimed professional photographer and word performer (and a mostly-reliable motorcyclist). Our crew fears only one phrase: “I’ve had an idea …”

One of the world’s most respected aviation journalists and commentators, Geoffrey has won 37 international and national awards in the last 10 years. He fronted two Channel 7 aviation series and is a commentator for BBC and CNN — all from little old Perth (well, most of the time). GT is also Editor of our sister website, airlineratings.com.au.

Alan is the key contact for members of the travel industry wanting to get involved as a Travel Club Partner.

A full-time travel staffer for more than a decade, Niall is experienced from the Middle East to Europe, but is also a highly regarded lead writer on cruising. He thrives on detail (just ask how many eggs a particular ship gets through). He is key to the Video Features we produce in the Channel 7 studios, reflecting his previous TV experience.

A journalist since 2004 and full time with us for four years, she has experienced travel assignments from Bali to Switzerland. Gemma has a particular interest in podcasting, and Travel Club members will see her in our many Video Features.

With more than 30 years’ professional photographic experience, Mogens leads our popular photo training courses, and will take some special Travel Club Tours. But more than that, he’s out and about travelling, writing, making video features, and showing how to take better pictures through our online tutorials. Recent assignments have ranged from South America to New Zealand.

One of Australia’s most highly regarded wine writers, Ray’s been West Australian Newspapers’ Wine Editor for many years and is the author of the annual The West Australian Wine Guide, based on over 500 reviews. He’s geared up for some exclusive Travel Club Tours.

His sentences are usually too long.
